THE PROGRAM
The University of Wisconsin System and the universities in the German state of Hessen are partnered in a unique, state-to-state exchange program. Through this program, UW-Eau Claire students may attend one of four International Summer Universities (ISUs).
THE LOCATION
Frankfurt is a large, multicultural city that offers many opportunities for students to explore and connect with German culture. The ISU is jointly hosted by Goethe University and the University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt am Main.

HOUSING & MEALS
You will live in single rooms in a university residence hall and receive a meal subsidy for one meal/day in the university cafeteria. You can purchase other meals there or cook in the residence hall kitchen.

STUDENT LIFE
On campus the university's cultural program provides many opportunities for you to connect with your host country. Past events have included a tour of the European Central Bank and a cooking class. Distinguished guest speakers will also lecture in the evenings on various topics pertaining to Germany. You may wish to visit one the many restaurants, cafes or pubs to practice your language skills and try authentic German cuisine.
EXPLORE GERMANY!
The university offers several excursions in and around Frankfurt on the weekends and during free time. Past destinations have included Luxembourg, the Rhine Valley and Heidelberg, often regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.
