Insurance
The CIE enrolls all students studying abroad on UW-Eau Claire programs in CISI Insurance regardless of current coverage the student or family may have. The cost of this insurance has been built into the program cost, and students receive a card from our office.  Some countries and programs have additional insurance required for students.

CISI 2013-2014 Policy Information
For the following programs that begin after May 1, 2013 (Summer 2013, Fall 2013, Winterim 2014 and Spring 2014)

For Students: Using the CISI Portal
Once the CIE enrolls you in the CISI Insurance, you must register yourself for the insurance using the CISI portal. To learn how to register and log-in to your account, please read: U of Wisconsin - myCISI Participant Portal Overview.

Through the CISI portal, you can:
  • Print or e-mail your insurance card, coverage brochure, consulate letter, and claim form.
  • Extend your insurance coverage if you plan to do additional travel.
  • Find valuable travel-related information, such as health and vaccination recommendations, contract information for English-speaking doctors abroad, and country-specific information for every country in the world.
The CIE will notify students once they can register in the CISI Portal.
