The Program

STUDY IN THAILAND!
UW-Eau Claire students have the opportunity to study for one semester or the academic year at Payap University in Chiang Mai.

THE LOCATION
Chiang Mai, a city of 250,000, is in Northern Thailand, on a plain surrounded by mountains. The original city, marked by a moat and ancient walls, has Buddhist temples and other monuments to its distinguished past.

THE UNIVERSITY
Your host in Thailand is the Mae Khao campus of Payap University. With three campuses in Chiang Mai, Payap enrolls a total of 8,500 students. Visit http://ic.payap.ac.th/ for details.

HOUSING & MEALS
You will live in Payap University's newly constructed International House. This is a three-story dormitory with air conditioned rooms, dining room, lounge room, wireless internet, laundromat and other services.

While staying in the International House,you will receive breakfast and dinner on weekdays. However, you will need to buy your lunch during the week and meals on the weekend. There is a "canteen" (more like a food court) on campus within walking distance of your classroom building. You can purchase lunch there very inexpensively (~15 baht for a meal; another 8-9 baht for a beverage, or about 75 cents total).
