Deadlines & Fees

Applications for Academic Year 2010-2011 are accepted beginning September 1, 2009. The priority application deadline for Academic Year 2010-2011 was November 16, 2009.Mountains! No late applications will be accepted.

Applications for Spring 2011 are accepted beginning January 25, 2010. The priority application deadline for Spring 2011 is April 1, 2010. Applications will be reviewed after this date. Applications handed in after April 1 will be considered if space is available. Check this Web site after the priority deadline to see if we are still accepting applications. No applications will be accepted after May 3, 2010 for Spring 2011.

ESTIMATED COSTS
The estimated Wisconsin resident fee for Spring 2011 is $6,829. For the 2010-2011 academic year, the estimated fee is $12,542 . This includes tuition, CISI insurance, 3 regional field trips, and administrative fees. Minnesota residents may apply for reciprocity; non-residents add $900.

Additional Costs: passport, visa, housing, food, books, personal expenses, local transportation, and international airfare. Estimate another $6,914-$9,794 for these items for the spring; $11,862-16,840 for the year.

Total Wisconsin resident cost estimate: $13,743-$16,623 for spring semester; $24,405-29,383 for the year. Cost estimates are based on May 2009 projections and exchange rates and may change at any time.

FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS
If you qualify for financial aid, you can apply your aid to program costs. Your financial aid package will be based on actual costs in France, including the cost of round-trip airfare. You can learn about additional options, including a study abroad grant through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation; this application will be included with orientation materials. a Wisconsin Grant for Study Abroad and scholarships for specific majors and national study abroad scholarships at http://www.uwec.edu/cie/sac/ProsStudents/Advising.

Students with a 3.00 GPA are eligible to apply for the Vernon Gingerich Scholarship, which supports study abroad in a native French-language environment. More information is available at http://www.uwec.edu/oakdev/fou800/criteria/4645.htm. In addition, USAC has scholarships for which Pau students are eligible to apply. You will get information with your acceptance materials.
