Academics

Eligibility
To apply, you must be a currently-enrolled, degree-seeking undergraduate UW-Eau Claire student. You need to be in good academic standing and have a cumulative resident GPA of 2.8.  No prior Chinese language study is required.

Courses
If you wish to study Chinese language (Mandarin) intensively, you can take a full semester of Chinese Language and Culture Courses taught at the College of Chinese Language and Culture on the Huawen Xueyuan campus.

You can also choose to take some Chinese language and culture courses, along with some economics and political science courses taught in English at the International School on the main Jinan University campus. For more information about the International School, go to http://ischool.jnu.edu.cn/.

Academic Calendar
You may study at Jinan for a semester or the full academic year. Fall semester begins in late August and ends in mid-January. (If you go to Jinan for the fall semester only, you will have a very short break between the end of fall semester and the beginning of spring semester at UW-Eau Claire.) Spring semester begins in late February and runs through mid-July. Exact dates will be available the semester prior to departure.
