Award and Scholarship Recipients (2008)
Each year we allocate over $11,000 dollars in departmental scholarships at the annual Student Awards Banquet. These scholarships are funded almost exclusively by alumni donations and employer matching gifts, and most recognize the dedication of Chemistry faculty from years past. Winners of the extra-departmental scholarships are also recognized at the annual awards banquet. This year three of our major were awarded full tuition scholarships, and one obtained a highly-competitive Goldwater Scholarship worth $7500.
