| WHAT IS
MYA It is a 5-level program for elementary and middle school students who enjoy learning about different enriched topics in Mathematics. The program challenges students abilities to learn and understand advance mathematical concepts in their school curriculum. This program is taught by UWEC mathematics major students under the supervision of mathematics professor. |
When
and Where are the Classes Held? All classes in both the semester are held in Hibbard Humanities Hall at UW-Eau Claire campus. | What
will students learn? The main topics covered are Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry. Each level of class has two levels of learning during the semester. Students strengthen their appropriate mathematical skills and learn non-standard material not normally covered in their grade level at school. Advanced math students study Algebra and Trigonometry during two semester. Students will get school credits for the course work completed and a very high level of achievements. |
Fees
and Registration The fees each for levels I-V is $150.00 each semester. This covers tuition and all the material for the semester. The fees for Advanced levels is $225.00 for each semester. Program information is sent out each semester to the area elementary and middle schools. Please check with your child(ern) school officials. The confirmation of registration, room number, and meeting time is sent to the participants On site registration is available on the first day of the class meetings. |
