Burr Oak Leaves, Early Fall

Burr Oak Leaves, Early Fall (1984) — a limited-edition lithographic print of an original watercolor by UW-Eau Claire professor emeritus Charles T. Campbell (1929–2013) — hangs in the Council Oak Room, Davies Center 260. Inspired by the leaves of the original Council Oak tree, the work was commissioned by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, Inc., as a special project of its Campus Beautification Committee. Campbell joined the faculty in 1968 and chaired the art department from 1975 until his retirement in 1990.
