Centers Areas

Central Administration

Central administration includes budget and fiscal management, services management, building maintenance, custodial management and policy advisement.

Information Design Services

Develops public information and promotional materials for the unit and its programs, activities and services.

Information Technology Services

Manages and maintains information technology resources including hardware, software, and computing and networking support services.

Activities and Programs

Administers arts and events programming and oversees student activities, involvement and leadership.

Administers the Artists Series, The Forum, the International Film Series, Summer Session Programs and Higherground. Advises Greek life and the Student Senate's University Activities Commission, and supervises and mentors student interns and employees. Administers the Student Organizations Complex, the CALL volunteer services program, student leadership seminars and recognition programs, commencement ceremonies, the Viennese Ball, and many special events and student involvement opportunities throughout the year.

Student Organizations Complex

Provides services and a home base for the more than 180 campus organizations; accommodates approximately 50 student organizations and houses the Student Senate.

Building Operations

Administers conferences and scheduling, custodial services, facilities planning and maintenance and technical services.

Event Services

Coordinates the events scheduled to take place in the Davies Center while providing support to the Zorn Arena and Schofield Auditorium and other facilities as needed. This includes approving all room reservations, supervising/approving the production of the daily schedule for The University Centers and arranging for rentals and audio-visual equipment, and assisting in the billing/invoicing and collections of the Event Services Office.

Directs the work of full time, limited term and student staff who are responsible for the production, technology, scheduling and supervision of events, as well as the Student Building Managers (SMODs) and Operations Team (student set-up crew).

Works with outside public groups such as the Eau Claire Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce for possible events the University could sponsor without direct competition of the public sector.

Custodial Services

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining facilities, and for setting up events.

Business Operations

Supervises and provides support to the managers of the following areas in The University Centers: Service Operations, University Printing Service, Information Technology, Information Design and Web Development. Also responsible for overseeing contracted services, the management of the campus trademark licensing agreements, and the management of the accounting operation for The University Centers.

University Printing Services

Offers offset printing, high-speed black-and-white digital copies, quality color copies, and a range of design and bindery options.

Service Operations

Administers the Service Center - the central source of campus information - and provides services essential to campus life.

University Service Center

Issues University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire photo ID cards, administers the meal plan, and administers the Blugold Account system. Provides telephone directory assistance, activities information, campus and community maps and brochures, vending machine refunds and the campus lost and found. Cashes checks for Blugold Card holders, and provides one-stop convenience for those wishing to buy tickets to campus events; mail letters or packages; rent lockers in campus buildings; and obtain money orders or the services of a Notary Public.
