Tools & Techniques for On-the-Job Training

  • Do you serve as a "buddy" to new or transferred employees in your work group?
  • Are you asked to help people learn how to work with new machines?
  • Do you assist with cross-training in your unit?
  • When new programs are implemented, are you tapped to teach others how to fill out the forms, use the software, or recalibrate machines?

If you answer yes, then you need our practical tools and techniques for on-the-job, one-on-one training.

  • Does your firm have a way to ensure that "buddy training" is consistent from person to person, or shift to shift?
  • What happens if people fail to master new processes? Or when people make mistakes because they did not catch key points?
  • Can you adapt your instructional approach to the different learning styles of your trainees?

Your firm will benefit when you learn how to prepare job documentation, training checklists, and organize training aids which ensure consistent training. And you will be a more confident, effective trainer by knowing how to adapt to the various learning styles of your trainees.

Who should attend:

  • Small business owners, supervisors, managers, and team leaders will find the time well spent
  • Preceptors in health care settings also find the training concepts applicable to typical training tasks in health care
  • Regardless of your primary job title, if you do on-the-job training, or coach individuals one-on-one to develop new skills, this seminar is for you
