Managing Your Diverse Workforce

Did you know:

  • For the first time in history, four different generations populate our workforce - The Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y - each with unique life experiences and expectations
  • Immigrants, women, and people with differences are making a dramatic impact on the American workplace
  • Changing employee needs require different approaches to create a productive and satisfied workforce
  • Adapting your style to the differences of your workforce is critical to remain competitive

Whether the differences are as apparent as age or gender, or as transparent as training or expertise, our work places are a complex mix. Workforce demographic changes can create divided work groups, unclear communication, and unhappy people.

In this seminar you will:

  • Identify your issues about differences, and begin the process of style adaptation
  • examine the impact of differences on your workforce
  • find practical approaches to better communication
  • develop a flexible style of management
  • understand the strategic imperative for having a diverse workforce
  • explore the impact of different life experiences on job performance
  • learn strategies which strengthen your adaptability

Who should attend:

Regardless of the demographics of your workforce (multi-generational, ethnically diverse, or wide range of technical expertise and education), you will learn to adapt and build on the strengths of your people. Managers, supervisors, team leaders, administrators and small business owners will benefit by participating in this seminar.
