Start slowly – apply what you’ve learned
Session One – learn how to set up QuickBooks® and start using its basic features. Use what you’ve learned for a week, then come back for …

Session Two - where you’ll continue with the basics including lists, accounts receivable, payroll and reports.

You don’t need experience with QuickBooks® software, but should be comfortable working on a PC in a Windows environment.

Using QuickBooks® Effectively

Once you’ve completed QuickBooks® Accounting Basics, or if you already have experience with QuickBooks® software, this workshop will build on your knowledge. You’ll leave with a more thorough understanding of some of the advanced features QuickBooks® offers … Plus tips, shortcuts, and optimized practices that will help you:

  • Save time
  • Reduce errors
  • Easily and efficiently produce reports

Presenter

Jim Mattson is an accountant and computer consultant with Bauman Associates in Eau Claire. With more than fifteen years of experience, Jim has worked extensively with small businesses throughout the area to help them develop effective and efficient accounting systems, and to improve them. Much of his work involves computerized systems and Jim is an expert in popular small business accounting software such as QuickBooks® and PeachtreeTM. Jim received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Lakeland College.

Fees include instruction, CEUs, refreshment breaks and all study materials. Please make checks payable to UW-Eau Claire.

Transfers/Cancellations:
To receive a full refund, you must cancel no later than five (5) business days prior to the start of the program. Cancellations after this time will receive a refund, less a $25 administrative fee. Substitutions may be made at any time. Just call the Continuing Education office 715-836-3636/toll-free1-866-893-2423 and we’ll take care of everything. If you no show or cancel the day of the program, you are responsible for the full program fee. Walk-ins are welcome - please call 24 hours ahead to ensure space availability.
