Maureen Mack, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She specializes in the content and issues pertinent to youth at risk and challenges facing youth in today’s culture. She has served in leadership positions in national and state professional organizations serving the needs of teachers and youth in middle and secondary settings.

With more than fifteen years of experience, Jim has worked extensively with small businesses throughout the area to help them develop effective and efficient accounting systems, and to improve them. Much of his work involves computerized systems and Jim is an expert in popular small business accounting software such as QuickBooks® and PeachtreeTM. Jim received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Lakeland College.

Sinikka McCabe is the Administrator of the Division of Disability and Elder Services, the state agency that oversees a continuum of community-based and institutional services in aging, mental health, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, deaf and hard of hearing, blind and physical disabilities programs and the certification and licensing of over 40 different programs and facilities. The Division consists of over 4,900 staff and a total program budget of over $1.2 billion. Ms. McCabe has authored several articles on consumer involvement; community based service development and affordable housing and made numerous presentations on those issues in the United States and abroad. She is a native of Finland with a Master of Science degree in Social Policy.
Dennis C. McCullough is president of Empowered Performance Wisconsin, LLC, a worldwide management education and consulting firm. With over 35 years of management experience both domestic and abroad, Denny has achieved an impressive track record for helping companies of varied sizes and industries implement strategies to attain world-class performance levels. Denny joined Empowered Performance in April of 1999, as a Senior Vice President. He has since formed Empowered Performance Wisconsin, LLC, and is committed to focus more time and energy on helping firms in the state become more competitive worldwide. Denny's extensive experience includes having served as vice president of a major, worldwide education and consulting practice based in Chicago. He has also held a number of key management positions for firms such as Hyster Company and Terex Corporation. An engaging and popular speaker, Denny is a frequent presenter on a variety of business improvement topics.
Michael McGowan is president of McGowan and Associates, a training and consultation firm specializing in conflict resolution and family issues, including alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. He works with schools, parent groups, community groups, and students as a trainer, consultant and motivational speaker.
Mr. McGowan has spent the last twenty-one years working with families and children. He has worked as an educator; a youth care worker; a family counselor; an alcohol and drug counselor and a trainer. He has directed state certified training programs and alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs.
During the last decade, he has given assemblies to tens of thousands of school children each year and has trained thousands of teachers in hundreds of school districts across the country. Mr. McGowan has published numerous articles and made guest appearances on radio and television. His seminars are uniquely educational and entertaining.
Additionally, he has worked with social service agencies, county government, the department of corrections and dozens of private companies as a trainer and consultant. His experience also includes numerous published articles and guest appearances on radio and television.

Daniel McLaughlin, M.H.A., is the Associate Director of the Center for Health and Medical Affairs and was the Executive Director of the National Institute of Health Policy at the University of St. Thomas from 2000 to 2003. Prior to this position, he held multiple leadership positions within the Hennepin County health care system. From 1984 to 1992, Mr. McLaughlin was the administrator and CEO of Hennepin County Medical Center. From 1992 through 1999, he was the director of Health Policy for Hennepin County. Mr. McLaughlin has served as chair of the Metropolitan Health Care Council of Minnesota and most recently as chair of the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems. He served on President Clinton's Task Force on Health Care Reform in 1993. He holds degrees in electrical engineering and health care administration from the University of Minnesota.
Jolee Mickesh, is a practicing goldsmith artist who has taught Lost Wax Casting- Jewelry Design at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for six semesters. Her award winning work has been selected and shown in several shows over the years, including the Wisconsin Arts West Show, and the Renewed, Recycled, Reinvested Art Show. In 2001 she received the Saul Bell Design award for being one of the top five national finalists in her category.
Carin Mizera, MSSW, is a clinical social worker and on staff at the Center for Excellence in Long-Term Care at UW-Madison School of Nursing. Carin, a long time consumer advocate, was the founding Project Director of the Grassroots Empowerment Project, a mental health consumer self-help and peer support program. In the past she has been appointed to the Governor's Blue Ribbon commission on Mental Health, has created a trauma curriculum for women with addictions, and has presented and lectured throughout the state.
Susan D. Moch, RN, BA, MS, PhD is well recognized within the nursing profession for working with nurses and other health care professionals in acute care and community settings to integrate research into practice. Through her practice she developed the New Knowledge Discussion Group Model, which is currently being evaluated and will be utilized in the workshop. Dr. Moch publishes articles in many professional journals. Her articles include: MedSurg Nursing , "Research Discussion Groups: Guidelines for Action;" and Image: Journal of Nursing Scholarship , "Developing Nursing Implications with Nurses in Practice" and "Linking Research and Practice Through Discussion." She also co-authored The Researcher Experience in Qualitative Research . Dr. Moch received her PhD from the University of Minnesota and currently is Professor of Family Health Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She was the 1998 recipient of the University-wide Excellence in Scholarship Award.
Winifred Morse, RN, RD, PhD
Winnie is a professor in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at UW-Eau Claire. She brings practice experience in the fields of both nursing and nutrition. She holds a master's degree in public health nutrition and adult health nursing. Her PhD is from the University of Minnesota in higher education. Winnie is a member of Chippewa Valley End of Life Alliance and volunteers at Alzheimer's Association and a local hospice organization.
Lisa Mott is returning for her second year teaching piano in the Preparatory Arts Program. She has extensive experience as a teacher to students of all ages and abilities. She has an M.M. in Piano Pedagogy, additional graduate study in Piano Accompanying and earned her B.M. at UW-Oshkosh.
Debra A. Murray, Psy.D., CADC-III, CPP, CCS-G, MINT
Debra Murray earned a doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. She also holds several certifications and credentials in alcohol and other drug abuse counseling and prevention. She serves as trainer of trainers for Motivational Interviewing and Negotiation Training (MINT). Dr. Murray is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at Viterbo University and serves as the coordinator for their Alcohol & Drug Counseling Certification Program. As a Clinical Therapist for Franciscan Skemp Healthcare/Mayo Health System, she serves as a chemical dependence counselor in behavioral health outpatient and residential facilities.
