David La Luzerne, is a registered pharmacist who has been studying, using and teaching about herbs for over 20 years. He obtained his degree in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin where he developed an interest in pharmacognosy. He worked for 15 years at a community pharmacy that specialized in herbal and homeopathic medicines and for the past 12 years has owned and operated two Green Earth natural medicine stores. He has made presentations to numerous pharmacy, nursing and medical professional organizations. He is a member of the Herb Research Foundation, American Botanical Council and the American Herbalists Guild. David brings a practical knowledge to his teaching based on his many years of experience and a passion to his presentation because of his avid interest in helping health care professionals better understand the herbal revolution that is taking place in the United States.

Ann Lapp is a business continuing education course instructor.

For nearly 30 years, Ann Lapp has conducted supervisory and management seminars throughout the United States. As a human resources consultant for a variety of business, professional and educational groups, Ann addresses such topics as on-the-job communication, leadership training, motivating work groups, team building, and resolving conflicts.

During her tenure as Dean of Students for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, she directed 70 staff members and was a member of the Chancellor's Executive staff.

Ms. Lapp is currently an ad hoc training consultant for the Continuing Education programs at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is an emeriti faculty member of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Communication and Journalism Department. Ann earned a masters degree in communication from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and completed additional post-graduate coursework at the University of Denver.

Laurie Lau has 10 years of teaching experience and has performed throughout Minnesota. She is the founder of the Picardy Wind Quintet-Sommerfest Markplatz and the Passaro and Trillium Flute Quartets in Eau Claire. Lori is a member of the Chippewa Valley Music Teachers Association and the Upper Midwest Flute Association. She has an M.M. in flute performance from Ohio State.

Scott W. Lester is an associate professor of management at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. His academic expertise and research focus on psychological contracts, employee trust, team effectiveness, and organizational citizenship behavior.

Scott teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational behavior and human resource management. He advises UW-Eau Claire’s student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has published articles in many top management journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.

In the Supervisory Management series, Scott applies his scholarly interest in how people develop constructive, productive interpersonal relationships, as well as his professional mentoring experiences, to the seminars. He teaches the first day of “Supervisory Management 1” and of “Supervisory Management 3.” Scott also developed and will facilitate a new seminar on “Enhancing Mentoring Relationships.”

Dr. Lester earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of South Carolina. He worked for management training companies prior to returning to get his doctoral degree.

Chuck Levine has been active in the design and development of instructional systems for over 25 years. He has worked with thousands of technical trainers throughout the United States to help them design and teach practical job instruction sessions.

Chuck has many years of experience as a trainer and training manager in private industry. He knows how important effective on-the-job training is to your overall profitability, and he presents a very sensible, practical method for coaching employees who are learning new tasks. He is currently president of Instructional Design Associates based in Sharon, Massachusetts. In his former position as manager of instructional development for Raytheon Data Systems, Chuck was responsible for all product knowledge and sales skills training. In addition, he was involved in the training of computer operators in large, decentralized data entry and inquiry terminal networks.

Bee Lo, physician and educator Dr. Bee Lo received his Naturopathic Physician Degree in June 1997 from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Bastyr University trains Naturopathic Physicians and other complementary health care providers in both eastern and western forms of medicine. Currently, Dr. Lo is in private practice at his clinic, The La Crosse Natural Health Center. He has also given brown-bag lunch lectures on natural approaches to health-related topics and he's a contributing writer for the Hmong American Journal.

Ivar Lunde Jr. has been associated with CVYS as conductor/music director for 24 years and consistently receives high accolades from the students who have participated through the years. Mr. Lunde brings a rich history to CVYS. He was educated in oboe, composing and conducting at the Conservatory of Music in Oslo, Norway and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. The Norwegian National Opera enjoyed his participation as principal oboist. He has taught and performed across Europe and the United States, including guest oboe soloist with the Bergen Philharmonic Symphony and Oslo Philharmonic, as well as many smaller orchestras in Norway, Sweden, Austria, and the United States.

A prolific composer, Mr. Lunde has been awarded numerous prizes and commissions. In 1977, his 1st Symphony received shared first prize in the Oslo Concert Hall Composition contest for symphonic music. Many of his works are published and recorded in Norway and the United States.

Mr. Lunde has recently retired from UW-Eau Claire, where he conducted the University Chamber Orchestra and taught oboe, theory, composition and music technology. He was the conductor and music director for the Chippewa Valley Symphony for ten years and is currently Music Director of the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra (ECCO).
