“A very interesting class! The teacher was knowledgeable and taught very well.”

Do you have fabric at home that you’ve always wanted to make something special out of? In this class, you’ll discover what kinds of fabrics work well for hand-made book covers. Through demonstration and hands on activities, you will be exposed to the following bookbinding techniques: portfolio/wrapper with hard cover, pamphlet binding, and German shaped spine case binding.

You will also find out how to attach clasps and enclosures to the books and study cloth backing and laminating methods. Once learned, these skills will allow you to create your own journals, one of a kind photo albums, scrapbooks, or small editions of poetry or stories for your own personal enjoyment or a very special gift.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn how to make a book from start to finish from an enthusiastic instructor who specializes in this unique art form. No previous art experience is necessary.
