Beginning Sign Language I

Learn the basics

  • Manual alphabet
  • Fundamental conversation
  • Elements of American Sign Language
  • Receptive skills (watching & understanding sign)
  • Facial expression and body language
  • Introduction to deaf culture

Beginning Sign Language II

Monday evenings, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
March 1 - 22 and April 5 - 26, 2010
UW-Eau Claire Campus

This course is appropriate for you if

  • you already have basic signing skills
  • you have taken BSL I or another basic Sign course
  • you want to improve your ability to communicate through Sign

Instructor

Rachel Kohn is currently an Interpreter for the Deaf in the Eau Claire Area School District and community. With more than 25 years experience as an interpreter, she has taught sign language classes since 1993.

Fee

$99 includes instruction and class handouts.
Please purchase your own text, The Joy of Signing, 2nd edition, Riekehof.

Transfers/Cancellations/Refunds:
