History: The UWEC Nordic Ski Sports Club, also referred to as the UWEC Cross Country Ski Team and UWEC XCS has existed in many different forms through the years, but the current makeup is as a Sports Club created by Beth Fugina in the winter of 2007. Born with the leadership of a few die-hard ski fanatics backed by recruits of all ski levels, this group of Nordic Skiers had their first successful season on the snow. Since then the group has grown into a thriving organization with solid ties in the Eau Claire ski community, a wide variety of races under its belt, and an ever expanding membership base.
