Donald Christian Hello, I am Don Christian, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. I lead and administer the activities of the faculty and academic staff and the academic programs of the College, including curriculum, instruction, advising, and scholarship. I work with the Arts and Sciences Associate Deans, the Dean’s office staff, and department chairs to assure that our programs are fiscally and academically strong, meet the needs of students, the university, and the state, and advance into the future. The Dean provides leadership in budget development and management, personnel, program planning and implementation, and resource development. I serve with the other deans on the Provost’s Deans Council, the Academic Affairs Leadership Planning Committee, and on the Chancellor's Administrative Staff, which guide overall educational directions of the University. My academic background is in ecology and wildlife biology, with particular expertise in mammalian ecology and physiology. You may click on the above link to contact me. |

Margaret Cassidy Hello, I am Associate Dean Margaret Cassidy. My main responsibilities in the College office focus on the undergraduate and graduate curriculum (course proposals/revisions/updates), the development and change of academic programs, and the catalogue. I serve as a liaison to the Education and Women’s Studies programs. I assist with new faculty and new chair orientation and I represent the Dean’s office on the University Assessment and Service-Learning committees. In terms of my academic background, I am a Professor of Sociology, with specialties in the areas of family, social gerontology, and gender. Michael Weil Hi, I am Michael Weil, Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences. My primary responsibilities involve working with students on issues related to their academic programs. These include such things as academic requirements, waivers or substitutions, topical minors, retention and readmission to the University. In addition to student issues I am involved in a variety of special projects within the college. With respect to my academic background, I am a Professor of Biology, primarily interested in reproduction in snakes and frogs.
