Decline
Failure to decline an interview 48 hours prior to the interview date will be considered a cancellation. Refer to the Cancellation Policy below.
Cancellation Policy
If an emergency arises and a candidate must cancel an interview within 48 hours prior to the interview date, the candidate is required to call the Career Services office at 836-5358 or stop in the office, Schofield 230. The candidate will be required to prepare a letter of apology for the company recruiter, and must submit the letter to a Career Services staff member within 24 hours following a cancellation. The Career Services Office will send the letter to the recruiter and a copy will be forwarded to both the department chair and the dean of the college. The office will retain a copy. If the candidate does not meet this policy, suspension of campus interviewing privileges and future resume referrals may result.
No Show Policy
One missed campus interview is considered a “no show”. The Career Services Office will send the letter to the recruiter and a copy will be forwarded to both the department chair and the dean of the college. The office will retain a copy. If the candidate does not meet this policy, suspension of campus interviewing privileges and future resume referrals may result.
Appeals Process
Career Services staff will determine final status of student's future interviewing or resume referral privileges.
