About Us
The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Bowling Club was formed in 1989. Currently, it consists of two parts. There is the league group, which contains everyone involved in Bowling Club, and the traveling team, which consists of 7-12 members that compete against other colleges around the country.
On Campus League
The league group meets every Wednesday night at 8pm in the Bowling and Billiards Center located in the Hilltop Center on upper campus. The cost per week is only $3.50 plus a $4 sign up fee, so this provides a fun and inexpensive source of entertainment for all university students. The on campus league meets ten times per semester, including a Tournament of Champions in which the winning team from this league competes against the winning teams of other campus leagues. Winners or the tournament receive great prizes!
University Team
The university team is made up of 7-12 members who travel around the region competing in a variety of tournaments. The Blugold Bowling team is sanctioned by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) and is a member of the Wisconsin Collegiate Bowling Conference (WCBC). The team competes in 4 WCBC matches per year in addition to other USBC sanctioned tournaments. More updates on the traveling team can be found on the team's Facebook Page. The team also has a chance each year to compete in USBC Post-Season Competition depending on the team's current rankings.
