All rental transactions require a valid student Blugold Card.
All rental materials must be returned no later than the Friday of finals week.
Books may be returned at any time before then, and may be brought back one at a time. A fine will be assessed on each book not returned by the end of the last day of the final exam period.
You are responsible for the books you borrow from the IRR department -- including any supplemental materials that accompany the rental textbook.
All rental texts are identified by a unique bar code. Removal of the bar code will result in a $25 fine or the replacement value of the textbook.
The late fine will be $1 per book, one week from the due date. The fine will increase to $5 per book after two weeks from the due date.
Rental books not returned by four weeks after the term ends, will be assessed an additional handling fee of $20. At that time the borrower forfeits the right to return the overdue book, and book will no longer be accepted at the University Bookstore. All fines and fees, as well as the full purchase price of the book, then become due and payable at the University Business Office.
You must pay for any lost, damaged or misplaced rental book.
Don't sell your rental book at Book Buyback. It is your responsibility to distinguish between the books you buy from the University Bookstore, and the books you borrow from the IRR Department. To verify the return of all rental textbooks at the end of the semester, check online at: www.uwec.edu/library
Any sale of materials from the Instructional Rental Resource Department is final.
