The Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta will be hosting a Build-A-Bear Party at the Build-A-Bear Factory at the Mall of America on Saturday, February 23. We will be making Read Teddies and donating them to a charity. Alumnae are welcome to attend this event.

With the purchase of a Read Teddy, the Build-A-Bear company donates a portion of the sale to First Book, an organization that provides new books to children from low-income families. The Alpha Xi Delta women’s fraternity works is associated with the First Book program.

The Epsilon Alpha chapter won eight awards at the Alpha Xi Delta 2007 National Convention. These awards include:

• Chapter Total Award
• Chapter Quota Award
• Elizabeth G. Van Buskirk New Member Class Award
• Public Relations Inspiration Award for Philanthropy
  The only chapter to win this award, the Public Relations Inspiration Award is given to chapters that have gained outstanding positive recognition for Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity and the chapter by developing awareness of the chapter's activities on campus and in the community. We received this award for our annual Teeter-Totter-A-Thon!

• Advisor Excellence Award- Jen Beeman
  Our advisor, Jen Beeman, was awarded the Advisor Excellence Award for demonstrating outstanding guidance to a college chapter.
