BARNES AND BECKER COMPETE AT PARENTS DAY OPEN

MINNEAPOLIS – UW-Eau Claire women’s pole vaulters Steph Barnes (Sr.-Sauk City, WI/Sauk Prairie) and Chelsea Becker (Sr.-Rice Lake, WI) both competed at the University of Minnesota Parents Day Open today at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.

The meet included a variety of teams from each of the three major NCAA Divisions.

Barnes tied for fourth in the pole vault as she cleared a height of 12-3.5. Two University of Minnesota individuals and a Minnesota State-Mankato athlete finished ahead of her. It was her second highest height cleared on the season.

Becker competed in the pole vault and the triple jump. She placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 36-10.25 and she finished seventh in the pole vault, clearing a height of 11-9.75.
