WRESTLING COMES UP SHORT TO NINTH RANKED LUTHER COLLEGE

DECORAH, Iowa. - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team competed against Luther College tonight, but came up short 34-7 after winning only two matches.

The Blugolds drop to 0-4 on the season in dual meets, while ninth ranked Luther College improves to 2-2.

After losing the 125 pound match, the Blugolds' Andy Miller (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./North) won a 13-2 major decision against Steven Andrukaitis in the 133 pound category to bring the overall score to 4-4. Three matches later at 157 pounds, Eau Claire’s Joe Ames (Jr.-Genoa, Wis./Viroqua) won the 8-5 decision against Luther’s Adam Rave to bring the overall total of the night to 15-7. The Blugolds found no more luck though as they ended up losing the rest of their matches.

The Blugolds will be back in action on December 4 when they travel to Whitewater to face UW-Whitewater. The event is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
