WRESTLING FALLS TO FIFTH-RANKED LUTHER

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team was defeated tonight 39-3 by fifth-ranked Luther College.

The only Blugold to pick up a victory was Joey Miller (So.-Lake Tomahawk, WI/Lakeland Union) at 184 pounds. Miller won by decision 15-8. Miller improves to 6-2 on the season.

Lance Valiquette (Jr.-Auburn, WA) and Jon Erickson (Fr.-Jim Falls, WI/Cornell) each lost in tough matches that could have gone either way.

The loss drops the Blugolds to a dual match record of 1-4 and to 5-13 overall. Luther, in their first dual match, is now 1-0.

Up next the Blugolds will host UW-Whitewater on Friday, December 2nd. The action gets underway at 6 p.m.
