Women's Ice Hockey Assistant Coach - Amanda
Schultz
Amanda Schultz enters her second
season as an assistant women’s hockey coach for
the Blugolds.
Schultz was a four-time Blugold
women’s hockey letterwinner, leading the team in
scoring three times. All four years she was recognized
by the NCHA with an honorable mention selection and three
years she was a member of the NCHA All-Academic team.
Schultz won the conference’s Scholar-Athlete Award
and was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American
At-Large Third Team her senior season. In her Blugold
career, during which she scored 50 goals and had 25 assists
for 75 points, she also won the team Student-Athlete Award
three times, the Blugold Award once, and the Rookie of
the Year Award once. She also led on the ice as a team
captain.
Coach Collins adds, “It is
great to have Amanda back with the program for her sixth
year. She will be a great influence with the young team
we have this year.”
Schultz currently holds a position
as a special education teacher for Altoona High School.
