Steve Dus enters his first season as an assistant women’s hockey coach for the Blugolds.

Dus was a four-time Blugold men’s hockey letterwinner, and 2006-07 team captain, who finished his career last season. Dus played in 71 games as a Blugold and scored 17 goals, including two game-winning goals, six power-play goals and one short-handed goal. Dus is also one of only 42 players in program history to have a hat trick. The feat was accomplished during his freshman season.

Head coach Mike Collins said he is “very excited to have (Dus) on the staff. He brings great energy and knowledge to the game.”

Dus, a native of Onalaska, WI, is currently finishing up his degrees in organizational communication and sociology at UW-Eau Claire. He will graduate in December of 2007.
