BORMAN RECEIVES NGCA ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
CORAL SPRINGS, FL – UW-Eau Claire freshman Kate Borman (Kenosha, WI/Bradford) has been recognized the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) for high academic achievement and participation in golf. Borman was named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team, which is made up of golfers who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and participate in at least 66% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. Borman, an athletic training major, maintained a 3.51 cumulative GPA and participated in all scheduled golf meets. She was one of five golfers to represent UW-Eau Claire at the NCAA Division III Championship. The Blugolds took seventh place as a team in the Championship, while Borman finished tied for 76th individually. This year, 368 golfers from Division I, II and III were recognized for the honor. Only 63 athletes from Division III were selected. In addition to Borman, four other golfers from the WIAC were recipients, including Amy Stiloski (UW-Stevens Point), Sarah Mosher (UW-Stevens Point), Diana Schmidt (UW-Whitewater) and Kendall Egnarski (UW-Whitewater).
