WBIZ TO BROADCAST 19 BLUGOLD WOMEN'S GAMES

UW-Eau Claire and Clear Channel Communications officials have announced that 19 Blugold women's basketball games will be broadcast live this year as part of an overall package negotiated between the two entities.

Clear Channel sports director Mike Sullivan said that all 16 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball games will be broadcast as well as both games from the Hope College Tournament this weekend and the Blugolds' first-round game of the Thanksgiving Showcase against Otterbein College.

Thirteen of the games will be carried by WBIZ Sportsradio 1400. The Nov. 29, Jan. 10, Jan. 24, Jan. 31 and Feb. 14 games will be broadcast on the internet only and the Jan. 17 Youth Night game will be carried on WISM FM 98.1.

Clear Channel's contract with the university also gave Clear Channel the rights for all football games and all men's basketball games which will be carried on WBIZ Sportsradio 1400.
