COON RAPIDS' GEISSLER TO ATTEND UW-EAU CLAIRE

EAU CLAIRE - Laura Geissler, a guard/forward from Coon Rapids High School, will attend UW-Eau Claire and play basketball next fall, Blugold head coach Tonja Englund has announced.

The 5-6 Geissler played for head coach Chris Biggins and was a three-time All-Northwest Suburban Conference, three-time team hustle award and two-time team MVP for the Cardinals. Geissler holds the school record for single-season free throw percentage connecting on 83% of her attempts in 2003.

A three-time letterwinner and All-Northwest Suburban Conference honoree in tennis, Geissler was a doubles regional champion in 2001 and 2002 while placing third at the 2002 state championships and earning All-State honors.
