BARRON'S FALL TO ATTEND UW-EAU CLAIRE
EAU CLAIRE - Ashley Fall, a forward from Barron High School, will attend UW-Eau Claire and play basketball next fall, Blugold head coach Tonja Englund has announced.
The 5-10 Fall played for head coach Jim Bartlett and was a three-time First Team All-Heart O' North Conference and All-Northwest selection, earning Fourth Team All-Northwest honors this past season. Fall averaged 14.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season for the Bears. Over the past three season Barron has compiled an overall record of 74-19, winning two conference titles, two regional and one sectional crown and a WIAA state tournament appearance in 2001. Fall will play for the Division II North All-Stars as the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Star game June 21 at the Madison Area Technical College.
A three-sport athlete, Fall earned three letters in softball and two letters in volleyball at Barron. A two-time All-Heart O' North selection in volleyball, Fall earned First Team and team MVP honors in 2002. A three-year starter in softball, Fall earned First Team All-Heart O' North honors in 2002.
Her class co-valedictorian, Fall carries a 4.0 grade-point average and is a WIAA Scholar/Athlete award winner.
