EAU CLAIRE NORTH'S EISOLD TO ATTEND UW-EAU CLAIRE

EAU CLAIRE - Amanda Eisold, a forward from Eau Claire North High School, will attend UW-Eau Claire and play basketball next fall, Blugold head coach Tonja Englund has announced.

The 5-11 Eisold played for head coach Dan Sippel and was named All-Northwest Co-Player of the Year in addition to being a two-time First Team All-Big Rivers Conference and All-Northwest selection. As a junior Eisold led the Big Rivers Conference in scoring. Eisold helped guide the Huskies to an undefeated regular season record and number one ranking in the Wisconsin Associated Press' Division One girl's basketball poll in 2003. This summer Eisold will play for the North Division One All-Stars in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Star game at Madison Area Technical College June 21.

A three-sport athlete at North, Eisold is a three-time letterwinner in basketball and volleyball while currently playing softball where she has earned two letters. On the softball diamond Eisold became the first player to ever hit a home run at the North High School Complex during her junior campaign.

Carrying a 3.5 grade-point average, Eisold has two E^2 awards representing Effort and Excellence in addition to earning Academic All-Big Rivers Conference accolades.
