April 30, 2007 - May 6, 2007


Track: Kevin Hall, Sophomore, Green Bay, WI/Preble

Hall earned the most individual points on the Blugold team with seven placing in both the 10,000 and 5,000-meter runs at the WIAC Championships hosted by UW-River Falls. Hall placed third in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 31:17.96 and 8th in the 5,000-meter run crossing the finish line in 15:32.79.


April 16, 2007 - April 22, 2007


Field: Ryan Brohmer, Senior, La Crosse, WI/Logan

Brohmer improved his provisional qualifying distance in the hammer throw as the Blugolds won the 18-team Carleton Relays hosted by Carleton College (MN). Brohmer won the hammer throw with a toss of 180-7. Brohmer also placed third in the discus with a throw of 140-7.


April 9, 2007 - April 15, 2007


Field: Ryan Brohmer, Senior, La Crosse, WI/Logan

Brohmer finished first among collegiate competitors and placed in the discus at the Blugold Open. Brohmer finished second overall in the hammer throw with a NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 179-7 which currently ranks second nationally among all Division III competitors. Brohmer also placed seventh in the discus with a throw of 147-8.


February 12, 2007 - February 18, 2007


Field: Kirk Schmidt, Freshman, Athens, WI

Schmidt won the triple jump with an NCAA provisional qualifying distance as the Blugolds won the 10-team UW-Oshkosh Open. Schmidt won the triple jump with a leap of 46-3.5 feet. It is the 15th-best jump in Division III this year and is the second best jump in the WIAC this season.


Track: Nick Kropp, Freshman, Green Bay, WI/Preble

Kropp won the 200-meter dash and placed sixth in the 60-meter dash as the Blugolds won the 10-team UW-Oshkosh Open. Kropp won the 200 in a time of 22.35 seconds while clocking in at 7.24 seconds in the 60-meter dash.


February 5, 2007 - February 11, 2007


Field: Sam Johnson, Sophomore, Deer Park, WI/Amery

Johnson won the weight throw with an NCAA provisional distance as the Blugolds won the four-team Border Battle hosted by St. Olaf College (MN). Johnson won the event with a toss of 56-0 to win the event by over 2.5 feet.


Track: Wes Fischer, Sophomore, Rosemount, MN

Fischer won the 1,000-meter run and was a member of the winning 4 x 400-meter relay team as the Blugolds won the four-team Border Battle hosted by St. Olaf College (MN). Fischer won the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:31.91 and was a member of the first-place 4 x 400-meter relay which posted a time of 3:24.28.


January 29, 2007 - February 4, 2007


Field: Sam Johnson, Sophomore, Deer Park, WI/Amery

Johnson took fifth place in the weight throwing being the top Division III finisher in the event as the Blugolds competed at the Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout. Johnson achieved an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying toss of 55-1.50 placing behind three throwers from the University of Minnesota and one unattached competitor in the event.


Track: Frankie Adams, Sophomore, Burnsville, MN

Adams advanced and won the 55-meter sprint as the Blugolds competed at the Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout. Adams won the event in a time of 6.62 seconds which is the second-fastest by a Blugold this season.


January 22, 2007 - January 28, 2007


Field: Sam Johnson, Sophomore, Deer Park, WI/Amery

Johnson improved his NCAA provisional standing by winning the weight throw as the Blugolds placed third at the 14-team UW-Whitewater Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater. Johnson won the weight throw with a toss of 57-6.25 feet defeating his next-closest competitor by nearly two feet (55-8.5). Johnson currently ranks third nationally in the weight throw among Division III competitors.


Track: Ted Lillie, Junior, North St. Paul, MN

Lillie won the 5,000-meter run as the Blugolds took third place at the 14-team UW-Whitewater Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater. Lillie won the event in a time of 15:17.69 seconds winning the event in by over two seconds.


January 15, 2007 - January 21, 2007


Field: Nick Desotelle, Sophomore, Weston, WI/D.C. Everest

Desotelle won the pole vault as UW-Eau Claire won the seven-team Blugold Open. Desotelle won the event clearing 14-10 and defeating his next-closest competitor by 11.5 inches. Desotelle was within six inches of reaching the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in pole vault with his effort.


Track: Wes Fischer, Sophomore, Rosemount, MN

Fischer won the 800-meter run as UW-Eau Claire won the seven-team Blugold Open. Fischer won the event with a time of 1:58.00 beating his next-closest competitor by 1.77 seconds. Fischer was three seconds off the NCAA provisional qualifying standard for the event.


January 8, 2007 - January 14, 2007


Field: Sam Johnson, Sophomore, Deer Park, WI/Amery

Johnson obtained an NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw while competing at the Badger Track Classic hosted by UW-Madison. Johnson finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 55-9.75 to reach the provisional mark.
