MEN'S TENNIS DROPS TWO AT LUTHER INVITE

DECORAH, Iowa - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team fell to Luther College 6-1 and 6-3 to Hamline University this weekend at the Luther Invite.

Adam Arians (Sr.-Mankato, MN/Loyola) was part of the two Eau Claire wins over Luther. Arians won at three singles 5-7, 6-4, 10-1 and paired with Matt Widder (Sr.-Sheboygan Falls) to win 8-5 at one doubles.

Chris Slagle (Jr.-St. Paul, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) was part of two of the three wins over Hamline. Slagle was victorious at four singles winning 7-6, 5-7, 18-16 and teamed with Erik Culver (Fr.-La Crosse/Logan) to win 8-6 at three doubles. Aaron Nordenskjold (Fr.-Red Wing, MN) earned the other win for the Blugolds with his 6-3, 7-5 victory at five singles.

Eau Claire drops to 2-4 on the year with the losses.

The Blugolds will be in action next when they host alumni Friday at 4 p.m. at the McPhee Phy. Ed. Center courts. Eau Claire will follow up with a dual meet against St. Scholastica Saturday at 10 a.m.
