METJE NAMED WIAC MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

MADISON – UW-Eau Claire men’s swimmer Kris Metje (Fr.-Cape Girardeau, MO/Central) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men’s Swimmer of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Metje was the only individual winner for the Blugolds in a dual meet against UW-La Crosse on Dec. 9. He won the 500-yard freestyle (4:57.95) and 1,000-yard freestyle (10:20.00) to achieve the fastest times on the squad in those events this season. UW-La Crosse defeated UW-Eau Claire 152-90.
