EAU CLAIRE – The UW-Eau Claire men’s basketball team will host the College of St. Scholastica (MN) in a non-conference matchup at Zorn Arena on Tuesday night.

Dan Beyer (Jr.-Waukesha, WI/Catholic Memorial) is second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.7 points per game. He also leads the team with 36 rebounds.

The Saints are 3-5 overall, but are on a two-game winning streak. They are coming off of an overtime win over Northland on Saturday. The Saints are averaging 80 points per game, but are also allowing 80 points per game. St. Scholastica is shooting 49% from the field this season.

The Saints have four players averaging double-figures in scoring. They are led by William Maupins, who is averaging 18 points per game. Maupins has a field goal percentage of 61% this year. Brady Zubke is averaging 15.6 points per game and Derek Johnson is averaging 14.8 per contest. Johnson has 74 three-point attempts this season, hitting 35% of them.

The Blugolds have not lost in eight meetings against the Saints. Last year, the Blugolds defeated St. Scholastica by a score of 76-60 in Zorn Arena. Zack Ryan (Jr.-Lake Elmo, MN/Tartan) scored a then career-high 17 points in the win.

The tip-off between the Blugolds and the Saints is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at Zorn Arena.
