BLUGOLDS ANNOUNCE FALL AND WINTER SCHEDULES

EAU CLAIRE – UW-Eau Claire athletic officials have released schedules for all fall and winter sports for the 2007-08 season.

The 2007-08 season is set to begin August 30, when the football team travels to Marshall, Minnesota for a non-conference game against Southwest Minnesota State.

Women’s soccer, volleyball and golf will all host home openers on the weekend of August 31. Women’s Soccer will be at the Bollinger Fields for a non-conference game against Macalester on Friday, while the volleyball team will host its annual six-team UW-Eau Claire Labor Day Tournament Friday and Saturday. Women’s Golf will also host its annual UW-Eau Claire Invite Saturday and Sunday at Mill Run and Wild Ridge golf courses.

The fall season will also feature a number of televised events. Two Blugold football games will be televised by FSN Wisconsin, while the Homecoming game against conference rival UW-La Crosse will be aired live on WQOW 18, Eau Claire and WXOW 19, La Crosse.
