SPECIAL BENEFITS FOR FANS ATTENDING BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER

Fans attending the UW-Eau Claire vs. UW-River Falls basketball doubleheader next Wednesday in Zorn Arena can take advantage of several benefits.

Blugold athletics officials have indicated that single game prices will be in effect instead of doubleheader prices. That means that the public can see either or both games at a rate of $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for youths and visiting students. UWEC faculty and staff will be admitted free as part of Faculty-Staff Appreciation Night.

Fans can also obtain a free popcorn at the concession stand if they bring an old, but functional, cell phone for recycling. The Blugold softball team, which will be manning the concession stand, has started to collect old cell phones for recycling as part of its fund-raising projects for the upcoming season.
