BLUGOLD OPEN TRACK MEET SET FRIDAY

Athletes representing at least four schools on the men’s side and seven schools on the women’s side will participate in the annual UW-Eau Claire Blugold Open indoor track and field meet Friday.

The meet will take place in the Ade Olson Addition of the McPhee Phy Ed Center with field events starting at 3:30 p.m. and running events at 4 p.m. There will be no charge for admission.

Besides the host Blugolds, the participating men’s teams include Bethel University, St. Mary’s University and Concordia College of St. Paul. Those three visiting institutions will also bring women’s teams. In addition, UW-La Crosse, Winona State and the University of St. Thomas will send their women’s teams.

The Blugold men and women are the defending champs in this meet.
