Six All-Americans in football, track, cross country, wrestling and swimming along with a long-time athletics trainer will be inducted into the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Hall of Fame in ceremonies October 22.

FACULTY MEMBER JEFF OLIPHANT DIES

Jeff Oliphant, assistant professor of kinesiology and director of the athletic training education program, died Friday, August 12, at his home in Eau Claire. Oliphant, 45, died in his sleep and an autopsy was being conducted today to determine the cause of his death.

29TH ANNUAL BLUGOLD GOLF OUTING SET FOR AUGUST 1

The 29th Annual UW-Eau Claire Blugold Booster Golf Outing will take place Monday, August 1 at the Hillcrest Country Club. UWEC athletic officials anticipate 160 local businessmen and boosters to participate in the fundraiser for Blugold athletics. Nearly two dozen Blugold coaches and athletics staff and 40 athletes will cover the course, interacting and assisting with the boosters who will play an 18-hole scramble.
