KOLB NAMED WIAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON - UW-Eau Claire football place kicker Craig Kolb (Fr.-Marshfield) was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Special Teams Player of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Kolb had a big day for the Blugolds, scoring 11 of 23 points in a 23-3 victory over UW-River Falls on Oct. 7. He connected on field goals of 41, 27 and 41 yards in addition to connecting on both extra-point attempts. The three field goals in a game ties the school record owned by several players. For the season, Kolb is nine-for-nine on field goals and seven-for-seven on extra-point attempts.

Kolb is one field goal away from tying the school record for field goals in a season and three consecutive field goals away from tying the school record for most consecutive field goals made.
