EVENSEN, CROW NAMED TO VERIZON ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

EAU CLAIRE - Matt Evensen (So.-Junction City/Auburndale) was named to the 2003 Verizon Academic All-District V College Football second team while Austin Crow (Sr.-Woodbury, MN) was named to the third team.

Evensen, a wide receiver, carries a 3.87 grade point average as a biology major. He has proven to be a threat on the football field catching 52 passes in the 2003 season for 738 yards and eight touchdowns after lettering last season. Academically, Evensen is a member of Student Impact and FCA and a member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Crow earns his second recognition as a Verizon Academic All-District V Team member as he earned second team honors last season. He has a 3.45 grade point average as a biology (pre-med) major. He is a team captain and three year letterwinner as well as a three time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. Crow plans to graduate this December and continue on to medical school.
