BRINK NAMED WIAC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON - UW-Eau Claire punter Matt Brink (Sr.-Madison/Memorial) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by conference sports information director Matt Stanek.

Brink punted the ball eight times in a tough loss at No. 23-ranked UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, October 18. He uncorked a 68-yard punt that pinned the Pointers on their five-yard line to start the second quarter. The 68-yard kick was the sixth longest in school history. Brink's eight kicks in the contest averaged 40.5 yards.
