The UW-Eau Claire grapplers competed at the Fifth Annual Dan Gable Colligate Open put on by the UW-Oshkosh wrestling team. The tournament was an individual competition which brought together wresters from all around the Midwest. There were representatives from Northern Illinois University, Northwestern University (Ill.), Purdue University (Ind.), University of Wisconsin, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Parkside.

VERNON, Iowa The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team competed today in the Matman Invitational, hosted by Cornell College. The Blugolds finished in seventh place out of 13 teams with 61 points. Coe College won the event with 164.5 points. Buena Vista came in second with 129.5 points, and Cornell finished in third with 96.5 points.

Issued: November 7, 2007 WRESTLING TEAM RETURNS 14 LETTERWINNERS EAU CLAIRE, Wis. The UW-Eau Claire 2007-08 wrestling team includes 14 letterwinners on its squad. Last year the Blugolds finished with an overall record of 26-20 and went 4-2 in WIAC dual meets. The 2006-07 team finished fourth at the WIAC Championships. The Blugolds have expanded their roster from 18 to 30 this season.
