MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-Eau Claire women’s hockey team was honored with three players being selected for the All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Academic Team, conference spokesman Layne Pitt announced today. All three selections made it to the list for the first time in their careers. Team captain Margaret Campbell (Jr.-Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata), a marketing major, was second on the team with 16 points. She scored seven goals, including two power-play goals and one game-winning goal, and accumulated nine assists. Assistant team captain and biology major Lauren Havard (Jr.-San Angelo, Texas/Arapahoe) also made the list. She scored 11 points for the Blugolds this year with five goals and six assists. This season Havard, a forward, saw some action on defense for the first time in her college career and was able to play well.
