WOMEN’S GOLF SENDS TWO TO CARLETON SPRING INVITE

SHAKOPEE, Minn. – Two members of the UW-Eau Claire women’s golf team competed at the Carleton Spring Invitational today.

Meghan Sobotta (Sr.-Arcadia, Wis.) golfed an 83 to tie for third while Torie Ives (So.-Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) tied for 16th with 92. Laura Heck won it all with 78 strokes on the par-70 course.

Heck’s University of St. Thomas (Minn.) team won it all out of six schools with full teams. They had 327 while Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) was second at 342. Carleton College (Minn.) and Macalester College (Minn.) tied for third at 371.

The Blugolds head to Illinois next weekend for the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling.
