WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WILL “THINK PINK” THIS SATURDAY

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Eau Claire women’s basketball team will join more than 800 teams from around the country and “Think Pink” when they host UW-River Falls in game one of doubleheader at Zorn Arena this Saturday at 3 p.m.

The event is part the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s “Think Pink” initiative, which started last season, and takes place from February 8-17 this year. The WBCA’s “Think Pink” initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

Fans are encouraged to show their support and wear pink. Both the Falcons and the Blugolds will wear pink shooting shirts during warm-ups to show their support for the cause. There will also be more information on the WBCA’s commitment to breast cancer awareness and how you can get involved.

Next Wednesday when the Blugolds travel to UW-Stevens Point, they will also show their support when the Pointers hold “Think Pink” night at Berg Gym.
