LUTHER SOFTBALL GAMES POSTPONED

The UW-Eau Claire softball team continues to suffer through the postponement syndrome.

Sixth-year head coach Leslie Huntington has announced that Friday’s non-conference doubleheader at Luther College has been postponed because of predicted inclement weather.

The two teams will attempt to make up the twin bill on Monday, April 30 provided neither team has a conference doubleheader to make up. That date is a conference rain date for both schools.

In view of today’s postponement of a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader with UW-Superior and Friday’s postponement of the Luther games, the Blugolds’ next scheduled competition is Thursday, April 12. The Blugolds are set to host St. Mary’s University in a non-conference doubleheader at Gelein Field in Carson Park with the first game beginning at 4 p.m.

The Blugolds are currently 12-4 for the season, but have not played since their final Sun West Tournament game in California March 23. The Blugolds are currently ranked No. 4 in the NFCA Division III national poll.
