BLUGOLD HOME OPENER POSTPONED AGAIN

The UW-Eau Claire women’s softball team, ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division III by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, continues to have trouble trying to play a home opener.

The Blugolds were postponed for the third time in four days as today’s Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader with UW-Superior was affected by the weather.

The two teams will attempt to make up the twin bill at 3 p.m., Monday, April 23 at Gelein Field in Carson Park.

The Blugolds’ next competition is slated for Friday at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. The Blugolds’ home opener will now be a non-conference doubleheader with St. Mary’s University on Thursday, April 12. The first game will start at 4 p.m.

The Blugolds are currently 12-4 on the season but have not played since March 23.
