MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD AT FIFTH

SUPERIOR, Wis. – After day one of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships, the UW-Eau Claire men’s track and field team sits at fifth place at 22.5 points.

The distance medley team took fifth on a 10:32.38 time.

Nick Desotelle (Jr.-Weston/Schofield D.C. Everest) finished fifth in the pole vault on a 4.55 meter (14’ 11”) showing. Jae Erickson (Fr.-Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) had a 4.40 meter (14’ 5 Ό”) distance to take seventh. Logan Koerten (Fr.-Plover/SPASH) leapt 6.81 meters (22’ 4 Ό”) in the long jump for fourth. Joe Felber (Jr.-Manitowoc/Lincoln) took eighth in the long jump on 6.59 meters (21’ 7 ½”). In the shot put, Al Oleson (Sr.-Wausau/West) took fifth on 15.32 meters (50’ 3 Ό”) and Tim Lauer (So.-Whitewater) took sixth on 15.06 meters (49’ 5”).

The final day of the championship starts at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
